5-Axis CNC Mill Offers Maximum Flexibility
The SR series of 5-axis CNC mills offers multiple advantages, starting with the machine's design configuration that utilizes a swivel head with either an A or C style rotary table.
The VMX42SRTi, built with a wrapped around C-axis rotary table, provides maximum versatility because you can use the extra table space for secondary operations or 3-axis work.
The generous size of the C-axis rotary table supports unlimited angular movement, i.e no need to “unwind” at regular intervals during machining.

NEW 5-Axis Book Release
The Power of FIVE | The Definitive Guide to 5- Axis Machining by Michael Cope
If you’ve spent any amount of time in manufacturing, you know that efficiency matters. While saving a couple of seconds in cycle time can significantly increase efficiency in a high production manufacturing environment where thousands of parts are produced for one job, minimizing setup time is the key to increasing efficiency in job shops that manufacture small numbers of parts for multiple jobs each day. Mike Cope, the author of this book, was co-owner of a job shop before he joined Hurco. As a machinist and applications engineer, he always evaluates the most efficient way to approach a part to minimize setup time and reduce cycle time. It’s just part of his DNA. That’s precisely why he is such a proponent of 5-axis. It is the most efficient way to instantly increase your profit margin on existing jobs that you manufacture on a conventional 3-axis machine.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Michael at the Reynolds Open House. This book is a great way to understand the basics of 5 axis machining, including how it can help for "non" 5-axis work by simplifying setups. Mike discusses machines, setup, fixture examples and even CAM! Well done.” – John Saunders Oct 5, 2017

Winning! Hurco Control Wins Award
|
|
According to the owner of CNC Cookbook, there were almost 500 respondents to the survey he posted, his website gets about 4 million visitors a year, and 100,000+ people subscribe to his email newsletter.
Hurco ran away with it compared to the other controls, scoring 0.67. In essence, that means 2/3’s of Hurco respondents said their control rocks. I haven’t had the pleasure of using a Hurco control, but I know they have a lot of awesome features, especially in the area of Conversational CNC. One user remarked, “Extremely quick on-machine programming, especially for helix and thread mill operations.”
Accordingly, we’re awarding Hurco our Gold Customer Satisfaction Seal for 2017
